Answers anywhere everywhere…
I generally say that I’m the best critic for myself, and this means I always strive to improve myself based on my own personal observation be it How I behave with others, How I dress, How I think differently from others, How I learn the latest technology, How I build my technical skills, or even How I struggle to improve my English and also word power – in simple words it circumvents both my personal and professional life.
I always wished I had a handheld device, like my Cell Phone installed with dictionary application, specifically which has dictionary and that’s also not a Cell Phone to help me quickly do a word look-up while I’m away from reading table like while I’m reading a newspaper, or my favorite novel, or even a technical book on .NET/C#. This even actually made me think many times of designing my own hardware architecture which can support such a need (though I’m not from circuit’s background). If I’d succeeded in such a venture that would have definitely become a hit in the students circle as they too need such a device which will be very handy for them for preparing for GMAT, CAT or for any higher education which requires good vocab. Why I fancy for such device is because I want to learn new words, their synonyms and antonyms.
I once stumbled on this utility, 1-Click Answers, published by Answers.com and I fell in love with this utility instantaneously. Yes! This is one of the kind of utility I was always been looking for which is at least very handy while on Computer.
1-Click Answers doesn’t comes with loads of options or features but whatever it has got is beyond par with any online dictionary versions. Firstly, 1-Click Answers always sits in the Read the rest of this entry »

Down the memory lane…
Today the Aug 12th, 2008 is a significant day in my life. I have had graduated in B.E. (Computer Science) in December 2001 from SLN College of Engineering, Raichur (Karnataka). I think I graduated in a not so good year in the IT industry. The US has been going through a rough phase, the IT industry too had it affect – it was the recession year in the US. The off campus job opportunities were very less. I came to Bangalore (now Bengaluru also known as Silicon Valley of India) on 25th Jan 2002 to take a written test conducted by HAL, Bangalore on 27th Jan 2002. That’s the second time I’d come to Bangalore and before that was once for my final year project consultation.
After taking up the written test and not getting through it became my daily routine to visit every Software firm in-person and drop-in my CV for their reference or for the vacant developer position, if any. My friends and I use to plan Read the rest of this entry »
One more appreciation…
After hitting the featured list through my blogs/tags what else I could expect to come in my way beyond this. A little analysis showed that it may not be exactly the content which could be the reason to get placed on the Featured Blog but I think it may also be cos of the unique tags I’m using in my blogs.
Well thats all about the old story… So what’s new then??? Ah! getting to the higher level which I’d never imagined… Okay, Okay… to cut short the suspense… my blogging have been listed on ‘Blog of the Day’
Unlike the ‘Featured Blog’ Read the rest of this entry »
One more bomb blast in Bangalore (Bengaluru)
In the wake of recent series of Bomb Blast there has been one more Crude Bomb Blast between 12:00 PM to 01:30 PM in Hoysalanagar, Bangalore. The blast has been report of low intensity and there has not been much damages, including human lives.
It’s not yet confirmed whether it’s similar incident like the one happened on 25st July 2008 or something else like a recent Steam Boiler blast in downtown Bangalore. The incident has been reported on Rediff.com portal.
Update 1 (08 Aug 2008): Strangely even after so many hours (09:12 PM) after the incident there’s no updates coming in on the Bomb Blast. I searched for this incident on other news portals and didn’t find any reference to such an incident. May be it’s just a hoax or may be Rediff.com has got Read the rest of this entry »
