Serial Blasts in Bangalore (Bengaluru)
So far nothing much has been learnt about the incidents and also the damages.
Update 1:
It’s been learnt that the first blast was near a leading shopping mall, Forum Mall, closer to Madivala Check post. Since the blast was of low intensity mainly using gelatin sticks, primarily used for quarrying and mining, there has not been much human loss. The second and third blasts took place near Adugodi and Nayandahalli. The injured have been shifted to nearby St. John’s Hospital.
Police say that the bombs had been timer controlled and had been triggered using cell phones – like the one used in Delhi blasts.
Update 2:
One of the leading daily, TimesOfIndia, reports that blasts have claimed two lives.
Update 3:
I learnt from my company security update that one more blast on Mysore road had been witnessed. We’ve been advised to stay inside for safety reasons till we get further updates that it’s safer to leave the premises.
Update 4:
It’s been learnt that another blast took place near R V Engineering College on Mysore Road at 6 PM. The first blast on Mysore Road happened near Gopalan Mall at 5 PM and this is a consecutive one on Mysore Road.
Advice: If you’re trying to reach your loved once and not able to do so cos of network jams, try sending SMSs. Under high congestion it cannot be guaranteed that your SMS will reach your loved one but still it’s a worth a million.
